Project Sidewalks

Road safety is an essential issue for the mobility of residents, tourists, and local wildlife. The lack of infrastructure across Costa Rica is concerning. Consequently, we have taken on the task of building the necessary alliances to address the construction of sidewalks along the main road in Playa Grande.
In partnership with the MOPT (Ministry of Public Works and Transport) for the required permits, we will raise community funds to build 2.7 km of sidewalks along one side of National Route 933, stretching from the main beach entrance to Co-Market.
Project Phases
The project is divided into three stages:
-
Phase 1: A 700m stretch from the main beach entrance to the Playa Grande School.
-
Phase 2: Continues from the school to the Playa Grande ASADA.
-
Phase 3: Covers the final stretch from the ASADA to Co Market.
This initiative, along with the construction of the Children's Playground, represents the core focus of APGS for 2026 and 2027.
